Racanelli Construction Company, Inc. has been named a recipient of a 2015 Gold ABC STEP Award. The merit-based safety recognition award is presented by the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC) to both large and small contractors who demonstrate a commitment to its Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP). Racanelli Construction met the STEP Award’s safety performance requirements. They are based on the North American Industry Classification System (NAIC) code for contractors and relate to a company’s adherence to Occupational Safety & Hazard Administration (OSHA) regulations, total recordable incidences at or below the NAIC code averages, as well as other safety performance metrics.
According to Racanelli Construction Company president Nicholas Racanelli, “We have made safety a top priority for decades. It is of the utmost importance to me and my partners to protect the lives of all workers on a Racanelli Construction project. We are extremely proud of this latest safety award which recognizes our ongoing efforts and proven processes designed to promote the highest standards of safety.”
To receive its 2015 Gold ABC STEP Award, Racanelli Construction Company was invited to attend the ABC Empire State Chapter’s 1st Annual Safety Clambake at The Spinning Wheel in Syracuse, New York. The event, which will be attended by ABC National Safety Director Chris Williams, includes safety, compliance and best practices workshops, as well as a safety professional’s vendor marketplace.
