Racanelli Construction Company, Inc. recently completed a $6.9 million renovation project on behalf of MechoShade Systems Inc. (Long Island City, NY). Racanelli served as the Construction Manager on the renovation of MechoShade’s three-story corporate offices and industrial building.
The building is over 90 years old and consists of three floors. The first and second floors are approximately 14,000 square feet each and the third floor is an estimated 4,600 square feet.
According to Racanelli Project Executive Michael Racanelli, the project entailed a complete renovation of the existing building. Since the building remained occupied with MechoShade employees, the renovation was implemented in stages to prevent any interruption to the company’s productivity and workflow efficiency. It is LEED Gold Certified project, featuring state-of-the-art heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and lighting fixtures, presented in a contemporary design.
