Racanelli Construction Company, Inc. can add another distinction to its long record of achievements. The Company was recently named by General Contractors Magazine (GC) as one of The Best Storage Facility Builders in the US.
According to GC, “Self-storage is a billion-dollar industry in the American commercial market. It is the sixth-largest publicly traded sector in the country, with 47,539 storage facilities nationwide by the end of 2019.”
In citing Racanelli Construction as one of the nation’s best storage facility builders, GC noted the Company as a pioneer of the self-storage business in the Northeast. The Company, which began constructing these facilities in the late 1990s, was credited by GC as being “instrumental” in these facilities’ “rise to prominence, setting the standard by building one of the first multi- storied self-storage structures in the country.” The magazine noted that the design/layout of this facility became the standard for future storage structures and a “construction model followed until today.”
Since it began building storage facilities, Racanelli Construction has become the “go-to” resource for leading storage facility companies. A good number of the storage facilities it has constructed were designed by Racanelli’s in-house architect. This design/build expertise delivers added value to its clients who benefit from Racanelli’s ability to engineer a wide range of structural configurations that best meet each client’s specific needs. Working closely with its loyal base of skilled subcontractors, Racanelli leverages experience across all facets of storage facility construction, from materials including concrete and steel to electrical, HVAC and security systems.
Storage facilities are in wide use by consumers, residential movers, businesses and other entities seeking additional storage space for varied merchandise. These facilities range in size and structure from 5’ x 10’ single-level structures to 20’ x 20’ units, often used for storing vehicles, as well multi-level facilities.
