Racanelli Construction Company, Inc. has completed a project valued at $17,350,000 called Arverne by the Sea YMCA (Queens, NY). The YMCA is located in Arverne, NY. Racanelli served as a General Contractor/ Construction Manager on the project. The two-story building sits on a 2.5 acre site, 36,600 square foot facility with a partial basement and a pool hall with two separate pool tanks. A feature of the building is a double-height interior space with monumental stairs, locker rooms, conference rooms, multi-purpose rooms, gymnasium, as well as fitness, exercise and aerobic rooms. As part of the project, Racanelli is performing extensive site work consisting of providing 100 parking spaces, enclosed children’s playground, a Little League baseball field, outdoor sitting areas and landscaping. The architect on the project is Donald Blair Architects, located in New York, NY This is the second YMCA project Racanelli has completed. Their previous project was in Patchogue, NY.
