Racanelli Construction Company, Inc. Awarded Great South Bay Imaging Center – A LEED- Certifed Building Project for North Shore-LIJ Health System

Racanelli Construction Company, Inc. has been awarded a contract to build out the interior a 10,310-square foot building on behalf of the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System (North Shore-LIJ), Manhasset, NY. Racanelli won the multi-million dollar project in a competitive bid situation. As Construction Manager, Racanelli will be constructing the interior of the existing two-story building in Manhasset which will be used for patients requiring MRI and CT procedures. The building is being built to meet basic LEED requirements. LEED is an internationally-recognized green building certification system. The Victorian-style building’s first and second floors will be allocated for patient use and medical services. They will include: exam rooms; medical offices; consultation rooms; MRI, CT, ultrasound, x-ray, mammography and sterotactic rooms; and reading room. The basement will be used for mechanical and building systems (i.e., electric, boiler, LAN room) as well as storage area.
